Tokyo Festival Farm 2024 Lab Public Open Program Details Announced

  • News

The Tokyo Festival Farm is the Tokyo Festival’s framework for human resource development and educational outreach. It was launched in 2021 when the research, development and educational outreach projects of Festival/Tokyo (F/T) were merged with APAF (Asian Performing Arts Farm), a platform for the exchange and growth of young Asian artists.
The “lab” for developing human resources through research and development aims to cultivate “trans-field” human resources who can work collaboratively with others to develop trans-fields that transcend regions and fields, and who can thrive by moving freely across various borders that will become increasingly fluid in the future.

We are pleased to announce that the lecturers and details of the “Public Lecture,” which is a part of the Tokyo Festival Farm 2024 Lab’s public program, havve been decided, as well as details of the “Asian Performing Arts Camp Final Presentation,” and the schedule for recruiting registrations for “Farm Lab Visitor.”
Take this opportunity to experience the cutting edge of “transfield” collaboration that transcends regions and fields.

Tokyo Festival Farm 2024 Lab Public Lecture "In order to overhaul the creative environment, now is the time to talk about 'structure'- with Sayoko Nobuta"

The lectures to be held for participants of the Tokyo Festival Farm Lab will be open to the public.
This year, we will invite Sayoko Nobuta(Certified Public Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist) as a lecturer to consider the creative environment. Problems of harassment, unhealthy group management, and exploitation in the creative field have something in common with the problem structure of “family” mentioned in Nobuta’s books.
In order to explore and practice the communication and relationship-building necessary for collaborating with others, we will attempt to update the creative environment through the perspective of “structure”, with which Nobuta attempts to unravel family issues such as child abuses or DV in her books.
