The Student Talk Salon, which was well received at Tokyo Festival 2023, is back with an improved version!
“First Line,” a youth program aimed at people in their teens and twenties who are interested in arts management, will hold a “School Talk Salon” as a public program, where participants will have the opportunity to interact with participating artists.
After viewing the works to be performed at Tokyo Festival 2024 in advance and sharing their impressions with other participants, artists involved in the creation of the works will be invited to engage in dialogue with the participants about the content of the works and the creators’ thoughts.
We look forward to receiving applications from young people who are interested in the background behind the creation of these works!
School Talk Salon 1 "CONDORS"

Venue: Tokyo Festival Information Center – HIROBA(Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre B1 Lower Plaza)

Conditions for participation: You must have already seen the CONDORS outdoor performance “Let’s Turn The Table” which will be screened at Tokyo Festival 2024. (No reservations are required for the performance and participation is free.)

Ryohei Kondo(CONDORS leader/choreographer and dancer)
Grew up in Peru, Chile and Argentina. Recipient of the 67th Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Art Encouragement Prize, the 4th Asahi Performing Arts Award Terayama Shuji Prize, and the 67th Yokohama Culture Award.
He has appeared on TBS's "Jonetsu Tairiku" and NHK General TV's "Chikyu Ichiban." He has also choreographed "Kondo-san's Exercise" on NHK Educational TV's "Karada de Asobo" and "TV Salaryman Exercise" on NHK General TV's "Salaryman NEO." He also choreographed the opening theme for the NHK drama series "Teppan." He has also provided dance instruction for the NHK historical drama "Idaten" and choreographed for "Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku," among many other films, TV shows, promotional videos, and commercials.
Satoshi Ishibuchi (dancer)
Associate professor at Daito Bunka University. Doctor of Literature. His book "Adventuring Body" was an unusual hit for a specialist book. Has been involved with the CONDORS since their launch in 1996. Captivates with his ultra-intense dancing. Has also worked on TV commercials as a choreographer. Has a deep knowledge of music and plays several instruments. Also composes music. Was the pianist for "TV Salaryman Exercise" on NHK General TV's "Salaryman NEO." Made his major debut with Epic and has been involved in TV commercial tie-ups with Nissan, Calpis, and others. Has appeared on NHK's "MUSIC JAPAN."

Yuichi Kinoshita(Head of Kinoshita-Kabuki )
Born in Wakayama City in 1985. In 2006, while studying at Kyoto University of Art and Design (now Kyoto University of the Arts), he founded Kinoshita-Kabuki that specializes in the revisions and supervision of classical performances. His representative works include "Sannin Kichisa," "Nyo Dojoji," and "Yoshitsune Senbonzakura - Tokai-ya, Omotsuura."
In 2016, he received the Newcomer Award from the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan Arts Festival for his work on Kanjincho. He also received the Encouragement Award at the 38th Kyoto Prefecture Culture Awards (2019). He also received the Kyoto City Newcomer Award in 2020. He was also a recipient of the Kyoto City Special Arts and Culture Encouragement Program in 2017.
He is currently active in a wide range of fields, including writing and lecturing on classical performing arts, as well as providing revisions for the Shibuya Cocoon Kabuki production "Kirare no Yozo" (2018). From 2024, he will be the artistic director of Matsumoto Performing Arts Center (Nagano).

What is First Line?
“First Line” is a youth program aimed at people in their teens and twenties who are interested in arts management, mainly performing arts, which began in 2022. In 2024, it will be held in collaboration with “Farm School,” an educational outreach initiative within the “Tokyo Festival 2024,” an urban comprehensive arts festival centered on the Ikebukuro area, and “Yurakucho Art Urbanism YAU,” a pilot program to create an innovative driving force for the city together with art.
The program offers participants the opportunity to interact with a wide range of artists and art managers, and to see creative sites and works, giving them the chance to come into contact with the various professionals who gather at the Tokyo Festival and YAU. By experiencing the program with fellow participants during the irreplaceable period of their teens and twenties, participants will have the opportunity to embark on their own unique first career.
