Two works capturing the atmosphere of the times, and questioning society using the body as a medium

Mariko Kakizaki has been a member of The Batsheva Ensemble and LEV Dance Company led by the world-renowned choreographer Sharon Eyal. Kakizaki will perform a new work created with Alice Godfrey (former NDT member) together with dancer Akane Kuri, who has performed in pieces by Japanese and overseas choreographers including Ryu Suzuki, Kota Yamazaki and Ella Rothschild.

And following on from their previous work, Aichi Prefectural Art Theater's production of dance and rap piece "Arika", dancer Yasutake Shimaji and rapper Tamaki Roy join forces to present a new work looking at a world in flux. Shimaji has performed in works both in Japan and overseas, including projects with world-famous choreographer William Forsythe. Roy is a rapper who works in diverse fields such as music-oriented performance and installation.
