The World of Filmed Performance: A viewing experience transcending time and space

EPAD (Eternal Performing Arts Archives and Digital Theatre) undertakes the collection and digital archiving of material relating to the stage and provides assistance for its usage. The aim of the project is to record live stage performances and leave them for posterity in the form of video. Tokyo Festival will offer a series of screenings to explore the possibilities for showing filmed performances recorded using state-of-the-art technology, bringing together stage masterpieces that were once performed live. Please come see these screenings moving towards the future.
