Reservations for DRUMS Begin October 14th
DRUMS, a collaboration between 2 spirited directors from Japan and Singapore based on the Noh piece “The Damask Drum”, will have its first performance in Japan!
The Tokyo Festival has entered into its 2nd year, and we will be putting on DRUMS as a Bridge Program that expands the possibilities of this festival.
This piece was performed last year at the “Super Japan Festival” in Singapore, and this will be its first performance in Japan. The 2 directors, Chong Tze Chien (The Finger Players, a Singaporean puppet theater company) and Shigeki Nakano (Shigeki Nakano + Frankens of Japan), have each created a piece based on the Noh classic The Damask Drum to be performed in a double feature. Admission is free and reservations begin Saturday, October 14th.
The artist talk will be held on Dec.2nd although we announced it would have been held on Dec.3rd.
We apologize for sudden change.
